The SharePoint Architect will oversee and participate in the architectural design, development, customization and integration efforts of enterprise solutions involving Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Business Process and Forms, and Business Intelligence (BI), utilizing Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010 (MOSS 2010), Windows SharePoint Services, SharePoint Designer 2010 and Visual Studio .NET. The SharePoint Architect will also contribute subject matter expertise and provide mentorships and training to team. The Architect will help develop guidelines and governance as HMS builds and deploys our corporate SharePoint Site.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS (EDUCATION, SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, ETC.)
- SharePoint Architects must possess a minimum of 4-7+ years in Microsoft.NET development with a minimum of 3+ years of SharePoint technical lead and architecture experience on enterprise initiatives
- Must possess advanced knowledge of business workflows and have an in depth understanding of the capabilities of Workflow Foundation, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010, Windows SharePoint Services, and SharePoint Designer.
- In depth experience with Collaboration, Portal, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence is required.
- SharePoint knowledge should include architectural design, Web Part development, server installation, management and troubleshooting with a focus on planning, deploying and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations.
- Development experience with Microsoft.NET technologies (ASP.NET 2.0/3.5, C#, XML, CSS, HTML, IIS, BizTalk Server, SQL Server, etc.)
- Experience retrieving and parsing data from multiple disparate sources
- Experience with application load testing, benchmarking and overall systems health
- Knowledge of the .NET Framework and experience full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Understanding of Windows 2003/2008 Server/AD domain infrastructure
- Prior lead experience on SharePoint Implementations.
- MOSS or MCSD certifications a plus
- Must be willing to learn new tasks, and cross train as needed
- Must be able to work nights and weekends as projects may dictate
- Ability to communicate with users outside your team on a non-technical level and translate their needs into workable solutions.
- Provide after-hours support as needed.
- Ability to work with non-technical staff over the phone in seeking resolution to problems and setups.
- Must display the ability to be a team player and work well with employees at all levels both internal and external to the department
- Good interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate in both writing and verbally.
